We need people who set suns alight
Before the world is washed away by rain
People who fly summer kites
As the icy winter sets in again
And who scatter colourful confetti between the snowflakes
We need people like that
We need people who sell ice cream at the exit of the cemetery
Who play the flute on mounds of misery
People who stand on chairs
To hang up stars in the night
Who turn fallen leaves into spring
And fallen shadows into light
We need people who warm us
And who feel like they are on cloud nine
Even in the clearest, most cloudless sky
High above, so high, so high
They skip along the rainbow
If someone says:
Let me hold you in my arms
I want to belong with these people:
These people who dance at garden parties in the rain
